Viking, AmaWaterways, Avalon, Uniworld or another Danube river cruise — sooner or later almost everybody runs into the same problem: the ship’s schedule and your travel schedule don’t quite match.
Maybe you have to leave the ship in Budapest early in the morning, while your flight home isn’t until late afternoon. Or maybe you’ve arrived in Budapest hours before you actually need to board.
THOSE HOURS DON’T HAVE TO DISAPPEAR.
THE CRUISE IS OVER. YOUR FLIGHT ISN’T.
This is probably the most common situation. Your river cruise ends in Budapest in the morning, but your flight doesn’t leave until several hours later.
By that point you’ve already spent days following schedules, excursion groups and, quite possibly, someone holding an umbrella in the air.
So instead of booking one more organised excursion, I can pick you up directly from your ship, keep your luggage safely with me, and those last few hours in Budapest can finally be completely private.
We can do a compact Budapest sightseeing tour, stop somewhere for lunch, visit somewhere you didn’t get to see during the cruise, go shopping, find a particular place you’ve been curious about, or simply spend the time doing something that actually sounds enjoyable to you.
And when it’s time to leave, I take you directly to Budapest Airport.

The same thing can happen in reverse. Your flight lands in Budapest in the morning, but your river cruise doesn’t properly begin until later in the day.
If your cruise allows luggage drop-off, I can pick you up at the airport, take you to the ship first, let you get rid of the suitcases, and then we can head back into Budapest.
Suddenly those four or five hours between landing and boarding are no longer an inconvenient waiting period. They become your own private introduction to Budapest.
And because it’s private, we don’t have to spend those hours following somebody else’s itinerary. We can build them around what you actually want to see or do.
AIRPORT → SHIP → BUDAPEST → BACK TO THE SHIP.
WITHOUT DRAGGING YOUR SUITCASES AROUND THE CITY.

But perhaps you’ve already seen Parliament from the river, walked through the Castle District with your cruise group and taken enough photographs of Budapest to fill three phones.

We can have a proper Hungarian lunch. Find a local market. Visit somewhere your cruise excursion skipped. Go to a particular shop. Meet a friend. Stop for coffee. Look for a souvenir that isn’t being sold beside forty identical ones.
