So yeah… this is me
This is not a typical “about me” page built on polished clichés. My path into this work was not linear, and it was not easy. What you see today is something I built step by step, with experience, responsibility, and a clear direction.
About ten years ago I started driving in Budapest, working with Airbnb apartments, small hotels, and private clients. Over time I realised that if I wanted to build something stable and professional, I had to make it fully legal and truly my own. I studied tourism, earned my guide qualification, and gradually built Mary Carry as a personal, independent service.
Life did not move in a straight line. A serious motorcycle accident forced me to slow down and rebuild physically, and later I faced a period of personal challenges that affected both my work and direction. The pandemic also removed the foundation I had been building, almost overnight.
That period required a full reset. I took on different kinds of work, kept moving, and slowly returned to driving. It was not immediate and it was not smooth, but it gave me resilience, perspective, and a much clearer understanding of what kind of service I wanted to offer.
Rebuilding meant starting again in a more structured way. I completed the taxi licensing process, gained experience across different platforms, and continued refining how I work with clients. Over time I also addressed the personal side of things with proper professional support, which made a significant difference in how I handle stress, decision-making, and responsibility.
With that stability came confidence again. I worked internationally as well, including challenging long-distance driving environments, and proved to myself that I can operate calmly and reliably even in demanding situations. That experience shaped how I approach every ride today: focused, prepared, and steady.
Today Mary Carry is a fully independent service. I manage everything myself — communication, planning, driving, and execution. I have both the licensed guide background and real driving experience, and I take full responsibility for the quality of what I offer.
